Our Island in Second Life

Welcome, to our voyage to virtual worlds today which may become very real part of our lives tomorrow. The island is dedicated to education and npo's.

Agenda:

• architectural exhibition of TU Vienna in spring 2007
• discussion forum for http://our-constitution.org and http://leparlement.org as an reference for distributed meetings and conferencing
• clubhouse for http://asc-armada.at and http://grenzenlos.or.at to support ongoing events and activities, maybe having even some concerts like with http://www.jungephilharmonie.at too
• prospects to build a school here ...
• ... and maybe Suppo's bookstore too ... what about your ideas?

Current Status

Well, the island is brand new - only some basic constructions are done. All this on the agenda is about things to come. All kind of contributions, opinions, ... are very welcome.

Thus today the island is interesting for those who want to join in the first pioneer steps. Those who are interested in the outcome I have to ask for some patience. Thank's in advance!

How to Join

1. download the free client for second life
2. create an account in second life - make sure you select the free subscription
3. spend some time (maybe half an hour) at "help island" to make yourself familiar with the navigation and stuff
4. send "Claudio Whalen" an message "in world" (or drop me an email) if you want to do something in second life
5. teleport to our island "Forum Europe"
